XR Development at Ultraleap

Below is a small selection of hand tracking and haptic prototypes & demos developed while at Ultraleap.

VR Procedural Training Demo

My team regularly prototyped benchmark demos of key use cases for tradeshows and marketing materials. This Barista demo shows the value of hand tracking versus controllers to reinforce proper muscle memory and spatial awaremess during virtual training exercises.

Hand Tracking 2D

This shoe customization demo explored 3D hand interactions in a virtual shopping experience on a 2D screen.

Projector Based Surface Interactions

Exploring smart home use cases, my team developed this projector based control panel for home controls, media playback and creative applications.

Mars Control

This demo makes use of both Ultraleap's hand tracking and mid-air haptic technologies. In the video is an incredibly accurate virtual trackball, which the user controls with their hand, they can feel the ball and operate it without looking because of the phased array mid-air haptics.

Multi-User VR Walkaround Experience with Mid-Air Haptics

The "Crystal Cave" demo designed by my team was our pinnacle location based entertainment (LBE) experience. It was a large installation shown at CES, IAAPA, AWE, and GDC. One of the best VR experiences ever made and truly showed what our tech was capable of.

XStudio LBE Prototype

Working with VR content creator XStudio, my team at Ultraleap produced this hand tracking experience to show at the IAAPA Theme Park tradeshow and to prospective customers in the entertainment space.
